This Privacy Policy explains how Shelf Tactics collects, uses, shares, and protects information in connection with the Shelf Tactics platform and related services.
1. Platform Context
Shelf Tactics is coordination infrastructure for retail operations. The platform helps participants manage profiles, connect with counterparties, organize workflow information, and support operational relationships across manufacturers, retailers, distributors, vending operators, logistics providers, service providers, marketing partners, and other ecosystem participants.
This policy applies to information collected through the public site, account and onboarding flows, portal features, communications, and related support interactions.
Shelf Tactics seeks to collect information that is reasonably necessary to operate, maintain, secure, support, and improve the platform, rather than collecting information that is not needed for those purposes.
2. Information We Collect
We may collect the following categories of information:
- Account information, such as name, email address, login method, and account identifiers.
- Profile information, such as business name, handle, role selection, organization details, and participant-submitted content.

We collect information directly from you when you create an account, sign in, complete onboarding, edit a profile, submit addresses or participant details, interact with portal tools, or contact us.
We also collect certain information automatically through cookies, session controls, server logs, security tooling, performance diagnostics, and similar technical measures reasonably used to operate, secure, maintain, and improve the platform.
4. How We Use Information
We use information for purposes such as:
- providing, operating, maintaining, and securing the Shelf Tactics platform
- creating and managing accounts, authentication sessions, and participant profiles
- supporting onboarding, portal operations, and participant coordination workflows
- communicating with you about access, support, policy updates, and service issues
- detecting, preventing, investigating, and responding to fraud, abuse, misuse, or security incidents
- monitoring usage, troubleshooting problems, improving performance, and developing features
- complying with legal obligations, enforcing our terms, and protecting the rights and safety of Shelf Tactics and others
5. Cookies, Sessions, and Authentication
Shelf Tactics uses cookies and similar technologies to keep users signed in, maintain sessions, protect accounts, support authentication workflows, remember operational state, and improve platform reliability and security.
These technologies may also support preferences, fraud prevention, performance measurement, and related operational purposes. Shelf Tactics does not use cookies or similar technologies for the purpose of selling personal information or tracking users across unrelated third-party websites for those third parties’ own advertising purposes.

Shelf Tactics may share information in the following limited circumstances:

Data may be processed by infrastructure providers hosting the platform on our behalf.

Shelf Tactics does not sell personal information.
7. Participant Responsibility for Shared Information
Information you choose to submit to the platform may be visible to Shelf Tactics personnel, service providers, and in some cases other platform participants depending on the workflow or feature. You are responsible for deciding what information you provide and for ensuring you have the right to provide it.
Shelf Tactics is not responsible for how participants use information they receive through their own lawful or unlawful conduct outside the platform.
8. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the platform, maintain operational and security records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and support legitimate business needs. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and the purpose for which it was collected.
9. Security
Shelf Tactics uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect information. No method of storage, transmission, or security control is perfect, and Shelf Tactics cannot guarantee absolute security.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, email access, and linked authentication methods, and for notifying Shelf Tactics if you suspect unauthorized account activity.
10. Your Choices
You may update certain account or profile information through the platform. You may also contact us regarding account questions, although we may retain information as necessary for legal, security, backup, audit, and operational purposes.
Subject to applicable law and legitimate operational, security, audit, and legal retention requirements, you may request access to account data associated with you and may request deletion of your account data through the Shelf Tactics contact page.
11. Children’s Privacy
Shelf Tactics is intended for business and professional use and is not directed to children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without appropriate authorization, we may take steps to delete that information.
12. Changes to This Policy
Shelf Tactics is an evolving platform, and our data practices, technologies, operational features, and service providers may also evolve over time. Shelf Tactics may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, and the updated version becomes effective when posted to this page unless a later effective time is stated.
